Bio From All Music Guide
Party rappers from the West Coast, Tha Alkaholiks entered the hip-hop field by working with King Tee on his 1993 Tha Trifflin' Album; after touring with KRS-ONE, Ice Cube and Too $hort, they found a major-label contract with Loud/RCA. The group came together in the early '90s, after DJ E-Swift (b. Eric Brooks) and Tash (b. Rico Smith) — both raised in Cincinnati — had worked together in Disturbers of the Peace (D.O.P.). The two settled permanently in Los Angeles and met J-Ro (b. James Robinson), who had worked in Total Control with rapper Suavee D and DJ King Tee (opening for the Real Roxanne and Dana Dane, among others), but was looking to move on. Named Tha Alkaholiks, the trio worked with King Tee on his single "I Got It Bad Y'All," and signed to Loud/RCA for the 1993 single, "Likwit/Only When I'm Drunk." Debut album 21 & Over followed later that year, while their second, Coast II Coast, saw the trio working with East Coast heavyweight Q-Tip even while they maintained the West Coast party vibe throughout. Tha Alkaholiks released their third album, Likwidation, in August 1997, and became tha Liks for 2001's X.O. Experience. Firewater arrived in 2006 — along with the announcement that the group would be no more. — John Bush

Tash's Bio From All Music Guide
West Coast rapper Tash was born Rico Smith in Columbus, OH, in 1972, relocating to California at age 16; a protégé of King Tee and Ice T, in 1992 he co-founded tha Alkaholiks, issuing their debut album, 21 & Over, the following year. In the wake of the group's third album, 1997's Likwidation, Tash began working on his solo debut, 1999's Rap Life. - Jason Ankeny

J-Ro's Bio From Wikipedia
J-Ro hails from Pacoima.

Scotty D, an early figure in L.A.'s hip-hop scene, was influential in J-Ro's early career. After an early collaboration with DJ Pooh at Scotty D's urging, J-Ro formed the group Total Control. The group consisted of J-Ro, King-Tee, DJ Pooh, and Suavee D; it was managed by Cold Crush Chris and Scotty D.

In 1986, J-Ro went on tour with King-Tee and DJ Pooh alongside Ice-T, The Real Roxanne, Whistle and Dana Dane. When King-Tee found underground success with hits like "Bass", J-Ro decided to pursue solo projects as well.

He eventually joined with DJ E-Swift and rapper Tash to form Tha Alkaholiks, which was signed to Loud / RCA Records in 1992. Their debut was titled "21 & Over". J-Ro was known for his use of humor in his rapping.

Tha Alkaholiks parted ways after the production of five CDs, and J-Ro decided to move from Pacoima to Malmö, Sweden in late 2004. Since 2003, J-Ro has been working with JuJu Records in various projects. His debut solo album will be entitled "B-Boy Funk".

He is opening a store called "Likwit Cali" in Malmö that sells clothing, accessories, mixtapes, and DVDs.
