Comments: Carmen Electra is super scrumptious. This is the Prince album with which I am most familiar. Since I don't personally own any Prince albums the Prince to which I listen is dimished to what Sarah brings to my house. For some reason she has never taken this one home since she bought it. Alright, it's because I won't let her. Sarah's a huge Prince fan and her first attempt to make me listen to Prince was a failure, but Musicology convinced me to give him another chance. This album challenged me to try to decifer Prince. On the surface a lot of his songs sound barely coherent, but there is a lot of metaphor interwoven thoughout his songs. For example I like "The Morning Papers", but I had no fuckin' idea what it was all about. I've decided "The Morning Papers" represent a return to reality or the daily routine from the fantasy that exists in the rest of the song. "7" is based on the ridiculous religious interpretation of Revelation from the bible. Revelation in the bible is actually about the fall of the Roman Empire most probably written out of frustration over christian persecution by the Romans, but crazy cultists want it to be a prophecy of the apocolypse. The song still holds decent entertainment value. The best songs are 1, 2, 4, 11, 14, 16 & 18. - D (5:04 PM 2/23/2006)
