Comments: George Clinton is the grandfather of Rap. R&B spawned Funk, which in turn led to Rap. Not only did his music father Rap, but his music, both with Parliament & Funkadelic & solo, was & still is excellent. The first concert I ever attended was George Clinton in Konocti in '96. It was the greatest experience ever. When I went my leg was in a cast, due to a whiffle ball injury that left the tendons in my right ankle torn. I play hard, muthafuckah. I don't fuck around. But I digress. I was sitting in the bleachers, but when G.C. called everybody to the front for "Atomic Dog", I hauled ass (& leg) down the muthafuckin' bleachers to as close as I could get to the stage. Even though I can't dance I still got my one-legged bounce on. The whole thing's the shit, but the best songs are 2, 3, 4 & 5. - D
