Bio From AllMusic.Com
D12's 2001 debut album, Devils Night (Interscope/Shady Records), had potential to cause some waves, with the inclusion of their raucous 2000 single, "Shit On You". D12 was originally founded by members Bizarre and Proof around 1990, but the size and scope of the group expanded when Proof brought in childhood friend Eminem (it turns out that the pair grew up near each other, but went to different high schools) and the rest of the gang. Along their quest to stir the already controversy-infested waters of rap, all five members come complete with aliases, while each of them bears a tattoo of the name of former D12 member, Bugz, who was gunned down at a picnic party.
D12 is (listed in no particular order by real name and alias/alter ego) Rufus Johnson, aka Peter S. Bizarre (Bizarre is also a member of the group the Outsidaz which includes Rah Digga and Eminem; he has appeared in magazines such as The Source and is the winner of Inner City Entertainment's Flava of the Year award for September 1998), Mr. Denine Porter, aka Kon Artis (Kon Artis is a producer for D12), O.Moore, aka Swifty McVay (Swifty joined D12 in 1998 after Bugz died), Von Carlisle or Hannz G., aka Kuniva (Kuniva was a part of Da Brigade along with Kon Artis), and DeShaun Holton, aka Proof or Dirty Harry (Proof is known for his freestyle talents. He won the Source Magazine Freestyling Competition back in 1999). Tragically, he died April 11, 2006, the victim of gunfire at the after-hours club CCC on Eight Mile Road in Detroit. D12 — especially Eminem- — were devastated but promised to carry on. In May, Kon Artis announced the band's next album would feature unreleased tracks from Proof. — Kerry Smith.

Proof's Bio From AllMusic.Com
Proof was such a pivotal figure in Detroit because he often hosted battle-rap competitions, most notably at the famed Hip-Hop Shop, where he hosted Saturday afternoon sessions for years. He later hosted Fight Club, a similar event. Moreover, he was an active participant, nearly winning the 1998 Blaze Battle contest. Such notoriety earned him The Source's 1999 Unsigned Hype award. Proof's role as the city's key battle-rap figure inspired the character Future, portrayed by actor Mekhi Phifer in the Eminem-starring film 8 Mile. (Proof played the character Lil' Tic in the film.)
In addition to his credits as part of D12, who recorded two full-length albums including his membership, Devil's Night (2001) and D12 World (2004), Proof recorded a solo album, Searching For Jerry Garcia (2005), and a collaborative album with Dogmatic, Promatic (2002). He also released numerous mixtapes and even founded his own record label, Iron Fist Records, which was well showcased by Hand 2 Hand: Official Mixtape Instruction Manual (2006).
Proof died April 11, 2006, the victim of gunfire at the after-hours club CCC on Eight Mile Road in Detroit. The unfortunate occurrence struck the surrounding Detroit rap community especially hard, as it was still reeling from the likewise tragic loss of super-producer Jay Dee, aka J Dilla, who had died just two months earlier. Furthermore, much was made of Proof's role a year earlier in Eminem's "Like Toy Soldiers" video, which had featured a narrative based upon the hypothetical shooting of Proof, funeral and all. The actual shooting of Proof gave the video a new, chilling resonance, as if it were an omen. - Jason Birchmeier
Kon Artis' Bio From Wikipedia
Porter started his rap career at a young age, when his original dream of playing professional basketball was shattered after receiving gun wounds to his leg. He founded the rap duo Da Brigade before being approached by late rapper Proof to start the hip hop group now known as D12. After Eminem rose to prominence, he signed Porter along with the rest of D12 to Shady Records. While on the label they have released two albums, with a third in production.
Alongside his rapping career, Porter also doubles as a successful hip hop music producer under the pseudonym Mr. Porter. He has also dabbled in singing, performing the chorus of "Look at Me Now" from Young Buck's debut album Straight Outta Ca$hville, demonstrating a surprising vocal range. He has produced for the likes of Method Man, Snoop Dogg, Obie Trice, Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Pharoahe Monch, Young Buck, The Game, and Little Brother. He created the beat heard in the highly successful single "P.I.M.P.", for label-mate 50 Cent, and followed up with another smash hit "Stunt 101" for the rap group G-Unit. Porter added his production and musical talents to the soundtrack for the movie Waist Deep. He has done production on Keyshia Cole's second album Just Like You. He will be releasing a production solo album titled Who Is John Doe as well as working on Dr. Dre's Detox and D12's third album.
Kuniva's Bio From Wikipedia
Kuniva is arguably the most low-key rapper in D12. While others in the group such as Eminem, Bizarre and Proof receive a lot of attention for their unique styles and personalities, Kuniva is frequently overlooked. However, that is not saying he lacks the ability of his co-members. He is known for having very consistent lyrics, usually appearing in the middle or end verses of songs. Yet to put out a solo album or mix tape, he seems to be one of the most dedicated members to the group.
In the works of D12 Kuniva occasionally assumes his alter-ego, Rondell Beene (achieved by wearing false teeth and effecting a gravelly voice), a loud-mouthed pimp from Chicago. It is also suggested from Devil's Night that Rondell Beene strives to become a rapper, with such references as "Blow My Buzz": In Proof's verse after Proof raps "Only one good demo out of three-thousand", Rondell Beene says, "Yo, I ain't wanna rap for you anyway so peace out then, punk." Also, Rondell Beene complains about not getting a spot in the record label on "Obie Trice (Skit)" before Obie's verse. Also, on the skit 'Commercial Break' from D12 World, he acts out his alter being annoyed at Young Zee.

Wherever rapper Eminem goes, controversy and headlines are sure to follow. With so many people unsure about whether to love him or hate him, five young rappers have decided to join him on his latest project, D12. Also known as the Dirty Dozen, D12 is a sextet of Detroit-based rappers — all between the ages of 23 and 25. Members Bizarre, Swift, Kon Artis, Proof, and Kuniva claim they are "here to bring the sick, the obscene, the disgusting." With this agenda in tow, D12 could prove to be the sequel to the controversial parade that Eminem started with the explicit lyrics on his solo albums Slim Shady (UNI/Interscope Records, 1999) and the in-your-face single "Way I Am" (2000, UNI/Interscope Records).
Part of Detroit's demented rap school along with Eminem, E-Sham, and a host of others. This artist is a cross between a twisted Biz Markie and a cast member of Night of the Living Dead, favoring warped horror-core and devilish themes in his music. His debut EP Attack Of The Wierdos received some notoriety in 1998, enough to land him a guest spot on Eminem's highly successful Marshall Mathers LP in 2000. Subsequently, Eminem inked Bizarre to a deal on his own record label. Bizarre joined Eminem's band D12 and appeared on their albums Devil's Night (2001) and D12 World (2004). In 2005 he broke out on his own with the solo album Hanni Cap Circus. Numerous tracks with fellow Detroit rapper King Gordy appeared on Bizarre's 2007 release Blue Cheese 'N' Coney Island. - Michael Di Bella
Though Proof never enjoyed much national prominence beyond his membership in D12, the rapper was a pivotal figure within Detroit, energizing the local hip-hop scene in the years predating his unfortunate death in 2006 at age 32. Born DeShaun Holton, Proof was undoubtedly best known for his close relationship with Eminem. The two Detroit rappers were not only part of D12 — the six-man group that initiated Eminem's rise — but were best friends, their friendship going all the way back to high school.
Denaun Porter, better known by his stage name Kon Artis or his production title Mr. Porter, is an American rapper, singer and record producer, who rose to fame as an original member of Detroit rap group D12.
Von Carlisle (born December 10th, 1976), better known as Kuniva and also known as Hanz G and Rondell Beene, is one of the members of the Detroit hip hop group D12. He has appeared on both Devil's Night and D12 World. He also appeared on Eminem's original underground EP Infinite, but didn't rap on it. Along with fellow D12 member and friend Kon Artis, he is a member of Da Brigade as well as co-founder of rap label Runyon Ave. Records, named after their home street in Detroit.
Eye-Kyu (sometimes spelled as Eiy-Kyu) was one of the original members of D12. He is best known as being on Eminem's Infinite album, in the song "313". However, he soon "dropped the mic" and is now currently taking odd jobs in Detroit. His relationship with any D12 affiliates soon deteriorated. His last known song he appeared on was Dumpin' by Parts Unknown (Dirtty Ratt & B-Flatt) which also featured Eminem and Proof. He also featured on tracks called Eye Confess with fellow Detroit rap crew Da Ruckus (MC Hush & Uncle Ill) and Paperchase off Da Ruckus' Episode 1 EP which also featured Swifty Mcvay.
