Released: June 7, 2005
More: The Black Eyed Peas
Comments: Monkey Business is the perfect name for this album. There's a lot of mindless bouncing and throwing of feces in a festive manner (if I may borrow a Dane Cook-ism). Wow, this is fuckin' horrible. Didn't The Black Eyed Peas used to be Hip-Hop cats. This is straight-up pop bullshit. I know what you're thinking; with titles like "My Humps", "Dum Diddly", "Disco Club", "Bebot" & "Ba Bump" how can this not be the epitome of Hip-Hop lyricism at it finest? Don't let those titles fool you, this is not the most mentally stimulating album I've heard. I didn't expect much from this album, but with guests like Q-Tip, Talib Kweli, Cee-Lo, John Legend & James Brown, there's no way this album could be all bad. Wrong. How do you fuck up a song with Q-Tip, Talib Kweli, Cee-Lo & John Legend featured. Oh yeah, put it on a wack-ass bouncy beat and edit it. I literally could not listen to the whole album twice. I tried, but I only made it through the first four songs the second time. There is one good song and, surprisingly, that's the one that features Sting, "Union". By the way, please scroll down for purchase information. - D (4:32 PM 9/12/2006)
